Event Description:
Tom Revnew with Seaton Peters & Revnew, for over twenty years, has represented employers on a national and local level in connection with the full range of employment and labor law issues.  He has successfully litigated a wide variety of labor and employment law claims before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.  He frequently negotiates collective bargaining agreements on behalf of employers and has significant experience representing clients in arbitration proceedings arising out of both collective bargaining agreements and employment contracts.
This interactive session will discuss methods in which employers can take proactive measures to protect their business. Specifically, this session will address recent developments in labor and employment law that impact human resource policies and procedures.  Among other things, the session will discuss: (1) Employee handbook pitfalls to avoid; (2) I-9 Compliance; (3) Confidentiality and Non-Competition Agreements: and (4) Employment Agreements.
