Trends in Global Mobility

Join us, Thursday, October 12th at the offices of Deloitte as our speakers and corporate participants discuss Current Trends in the Global Mobility Policy Development and Benchmarking. We will also be looking at how companies are improving and enhancing both the assignee and the Mobility User experience to meet the changing needs of the assignee and the company.

Jan Helgeson. Global Employer Services
Jan Helgeson is a Managing Director in Global Employer services and has over 20 years of experience in the global human resource field. Jan currently leads Deloitte’s Global Mobility Compensation Services on the East coast. She has broad experience working with multinational clients to transform and support their global mobility programs. She works with clients and teams to define and implement effective strategy, structure, policies and processes while linking to HR and Talent initiatives.

Prior to joining Deloitte in 2004, Jan had varied global HR experiences in industry and consulting organizations. She trained executives, families and groups on effective cross-cultural communication and managed the international assignment program and administration for a global Fortune 100 company. She recently returned to the US following a four-year international assignment in Belgium and has completed assignments in France and Japan.

Gillian Deppeler, Deloitte Tax LLP
Gillian is a senior manager based in Chicago with more than 10 years’ experience in global mobility. She works with multi-national companies to support their mobility program, supporting the engagement with strategy, project delivery, communications, and the employee experience.

Gillian previously served as the National Growth Team Leader for our Global Employer Services practice. In this role, she focused on growth strategies, client retention and satisfaction, and global pursuit strategies.

She has a Masters of Arts in Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelors of Arts, majoring in English Literature and Film and Media Studies from the University of Ireland, Limerick. She is a certified Global Professional in Human Resources.
