South Central MN SHRM - Bullying in the Workplace

Bullying and bad behavior in the workplace are profoundly impactful to those who are targeted, as well as everyone around them. Not only do morale, engagement and productivity suffer great declines, but when bullying is mishandled or left unaddressed, it can lead to legal clams and even violence. As a result, it is critical that employers understand the importance of addressing bullying behaviors promptly and appropriately, along with the significant risks of failing to do so.

By the end of the session, you will better understand:

  • The signs of bullying
  • The types of environments that enable bullying
  • The risks of mishandling or ignoring bullying
  • The legal issues related to bullying
  • The steps to take to address bullying

We are lucky to have James Olney, JD , Sr Vice President and HR Consultant presenting on this topic.  He is a frequent speaker at trade shows and conferences and is a popular instructor at the University of Minnesota's College of Continuing and Professional Studies.

General PDC & HRCI credits  have been submitted for approval.

Please visit the SCMSHRM website for additional event and registration information.
