Employment Law Update (rescheduled from 2/20/19)

Employment law has long been one of the fastest changing areas of law. Many of the most important piece of legislation were only adopted in the 1970s or even later. Legislatures, regulatory entities, and courts are constantly defining and redefining the rights and obligations of employers, employees, labor organizations, and other stakeholders. The last year has been no exception. As governments and courts react to new marketplace realities, it is harder than ever to keep up with the shifting landscape.

Keeping up on recent legal developments is crucial for any human resource professional. This presentation will provide a general update of the most important and pressing changes for human resource professionals in Minnesota from the state, federal and local levels. In addition, we will examine likely changes on the horizon and how employers can plan for and respond to existing and upcoming changes.
